A little bit about us

Here at Ignite, we aspire to be the go-to partner for employers who want to engage with young audiences. We are determined to bridge the gap for young people wanting to discover their futures before they leave education. We aim to achieve this by collaborating with more new partners and evolving our existing partnerships.

  • Jo Bishop

    Hey, I'm Jo - the Schools and College Lead at Springpod. This means I get to share all my experience (over 20 years) of working in schools, colleges, pupil referral units and universities with Careers Leaders, Careers Hubs and other networks to build and nurture partnerships. 

    Before this, I made the most of my time travelling and gaining experience with various jobs. My favourite job was at a travelling fair in Australia! I’m now more ‘sensible’ with three kids, but I still have the potential to let my hair down and embarrass them, dancing on tables and falling over. 

    While I was known as the dancing queen at uni because of my love for Abba, I’ve more recently fallen in love with Mr Harry Styles!
